Guide to entrepreneurs and new businesses (Being Away from Dark Selling)

First of all I will explain a new concept. "Being a dark salesman". This means that selling something to anyone with telling not true things.

This idea belongs to one of my friends'. He declares that if you lie to people who will buy anyting from you, you can sell at most one time. But if you go ahead trully with patience you will gain at the end. But this may be the hardest way to do business. The thing that you can find in this article are my and my friend's experiences and ideas. All fo them are tested as true in different times and areas. But there is no guarantee for any business to be successful from the beginning as you know.

Mostly people think to build a new small business as entepreneurs. They think that one business is proper for them. They think that that job will bring them the money to live. But generally most of them does the same mistake. They build the business in precipitance. They think that the job will escape from their hands. Here person must take a deep breath and think. We have the brain and intelligence.


Questions to be answered before building a new business

1) Is there anyone doing that business currently?

2) Will you compete with them or find a niche field to go?

3) How will you be successful against them?

4) If this is a new idea how will you be sure this idea will work?
---Did you analyze the feasebility of this business?
---Where will be your location?
---How will you produce or serve?
---In which conditions?
---How much money do you need to build this job?
---Does your capital fits to this business? (This includes capital for building the business and also operating capital)

---Can be any unexpected situation or expence? (Person always faces with them)
---How long will it take to be successful?
---Did anyone tried this in anywhere before?
---Do really people need your good or services in fact?
---Is it worth to pay for your goods or services?
---How will you distribute your goods?
---What is your expectatiton prices for your goods or services?


5) Producing is nothing in this century. How will you sell?

6) Why will people pay money for your goods or services? What is your difference?

7) Will your idea be a step to other businesses or a be continuous business for expanding the whole world?

8) When will you come to the break even point? (When will you get the money back that you invested?)

The first mistake in building a new business is the hope of earning big money very quickly. If you look the successful businessman you can not see anyone who begun to build e new business to earn big money very quickly. They began to build this job becuse of some reasons:

a) Enjoy to do that business or job.
b) Can see a niche area to do business.
c) To earn money for living only.
d) To build a huge business in the future. (But not earning big money quickly)


Selling and Earning Money Strategy (Sales & Marketing Strategy)

Normal man or woman can easily understand that who is a natural or artificial person. When you determine your sales strategies they must be on medium and long term period. If not it does not work generally.
You have to determine how many months you will create awareness of your products or services. Which ways you will use?
1) Advertising
2) Direct sales activities done by your stuff.
3) Public relations activities
4) Promotions

By doing these activities you must have a time schedule for these activities responses.

<> You must estimate the response periods to your activities. Generally this will take more time than your worst estimation. You must be ready for this.
If you estimated that the response will be in the worst case in one month you can be sure that it will take two or more months.
And also turning these responses to enough amount of sales will take at least 6 months normally one year.

<> You must have at least one years operating capital also for the situations not earning enough money for expenses. Normally every body see the other people earning a lot of money. But they come there mostly with very slow paces.



How to Sell Without Dark Selling

After determining your sales strategy you or your sales stuff must be very cool to sell. They must visit all the potential customers without tiring. These people may not buy anything in the first visits. May be not in the second, third, fourth, fifth... But you or your sales stuff will visit them continiously. Not in boring periods but in periods that they will not forget your firm.

You must be natural friends to your potential business partners. (Don't be a dark salesman) They are not only customers to your firm. They must naturally like you. But never do any artificial behaviours. They will understand it easily. Don't forget that every day somebody visit them to sell something.

Always say the truth about yuor products and services to your potential business partners. (I tell the customers as business partners) Your sales stuff must not forget this. The easy way to sell is declaring untrue things to the customers. But by this way generally you can sell only one time to them. This is the hard but safe way to be successful in business life.

-- Your products will be cheaper from the substitutions with the same quality or higher.
-- Your products or services must be more beneficial (New idea) for anything worth to pay more money.
-- You must serve your services or goods as the things that you want to buy for yourself.
-- Your termin time must be better from the competitors
-- You must termin all quantities in the time that your customer wants.
-- You must give the guarantee for any in bad order good or service. Supply spare parts and service guarantee also.
-- You must learn to balance your cash flow in the future. When you begin to earn money, you must be careful how to spend money and what will be your investment amount from your earnings. Cash flow is very important. I will write an article on cash flow in the future.

If you do these things you will live at least in business world. May be you can be rich who knows.
